If you only want the messages to stop

You do not need to delete anything. Reply STOP to any WhatsApp message from BMCF, or turn the switches off in your profile. Your membership is unaffected, and nobody is told.

To have your record removed

Write to bmcf75@gmail.com from the email address on your record, or send a WhatsApp message from your registered number, saying you want your data deleted.

Include your name as it appears on the roll, so we remove the right person.

The Secretary will confirm, remove your record, and write back to say it is done. Give it up to 30 days; in practice it is usually the same week.

We ask for this in writing rather than offering a button because deletion cannot be undone, and because we should be able to tell that the request came from you.

What is removed

• Your name, WhatsApp number, address and Area
• Your household links
• Your photograph, if you gave one
• Your login and any devices you signed in from
• Your consent record

What stays, and why

If you have held an office in the fellowship — a committee seat, an Office Bearer role — the record that you held it stays. Your name, the role, and the year. That is the fellowship’s own record of its own history, kept under the constitution, and it is the same information printed in the annual report.

Backups already taken are not edited. They age out on their own schedule, and your record is not restored from them.

If either of those is a problem for you, say so when you write, and the Secretary will talk it through rather than decide it silently.

The physical register

BMCF also keeps a paper registration book. Ask in the same message if you want your entry there struck through as well.
